Floral Tributes

One popular way to express your sympathy when someone dies is to send flowers to the surviving family or to the deceased’s funeral.  Family and friends often choose flowers as a means to express sympathy and show respect for the deceased.  The beauty, color and fragrance of fresh flowers bring comfort to a funeral service.

Sympathy flowers can be comprised of beautiful daisies, lilies, orchids, roses, tulips and more.

During times of sorrow, sympathy flowers are messengers of hope and thoughtfulness when it’s needed most. Flowers are an important part of our funeral customs, and serve as a reminder to celebrate the spirit of life.
Remember, funeral flowers honor the dead and console the living.

Casket Selections

Caskets serve as the final resting place for your loved one.  At our facility, you will be able to choose from a variety of styles, each one constructed with quality materials.  Whether final arrangements are for an earth burial, mausoleum or cremation, Sonoran Skies Mortuary will help you select the appropriate casket for your needs.  The caskets we offer range from precious metals like bronze and copper to all steel construction, hardwood or cloth covered.

Hardwood Caskets are made of solid wood, finished in a satin or gloss coat.  The design may be square-cornered or round-cornered shapes.  Hardwood caskets are manufactured using mahogany, walnut, cherry, maple, oak, pecan, poplar, cedar and pine.

Cloth Covered Caskets are made from corrugated fiberboard, pressed wood or softwoods, such as a durable cardboard, which are then covered with cloth and contain finished interiors.  Cloth covered caskets are modestly priced and offer and economical choice for families, especially for use with cremation.  Cloth covered caskets are offered in a variety of color options.

Metal Caskets can be made from bronze, copper, steel, and stainless steel.  Rather than gauge, copper and bronze caskets are measured by weight.  A 32-oz. copper or bronze casket means that the copper or bronze used weighed 32-oz. per square foot.  There are also 48-oz. copper or bronze caskets. Steel caskets come in a variety of grades, gauges and styles.  Metal caskets may be sealed or unsealed.

Steel commonly used in the production of caskets is 20-gauge, 18-gauge or 16-gauge.  20-gauge is the lightest steel commonly used in casket production while 16-gauge steel is the heaviest.  Steel Caskets are offered in a variety of styles and color options.

For those who choose a traditional funeral service with a visitation, viewing or gathering held prior to the cremation, there are a variety of styles of cremation caskets to choose from.  You may also choose to use our rental casket. Cremation caskets are crafted with the same quality and care as traditional caskets, but are made from different materials and are less expensive than traditional caskets.

We also offer preemie, infant, baby, toddler, child and youth metal caskets, cloth covered caskets and casket/burial vault combinations.
