The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Looking for a funeral home?

Some people think that all funeral homes are the same or that the closest location is the best, however when you experience a loss and need to be guided through the death of a loved one you will quickly realize that all funeral homes are not the same.

Questions you should ask.
  • Is the funeral home family owned?
  • How long has the funeral home been in business?
  • If a death occurs in the middle of the night and I call, will I get an answering service or a staff member located at the funeral home?
  • Does the funeral home own their own crematory or do they have a 3rd Party perform this service?
  • Does the funeral home include grief support groups, counseling and follow up services as part of all services?
  • If you are interested in pre-planning your funeral, do they have dedicated staff specifically trained for guiding families in doing this?
  • How do their prices compare to other funeral homes in the area?
  • Will the funeral home work within a budget that you may have?
  • What programs or services do they do to help remember your loved one after the funeral?

These are just some of the various questions to ask that should be considered when choosing a funeral home. We hope this helps you in your decision.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we want to help raise awareness about the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer.

Did you know... One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.  Every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Every 13 minutes, a woman dies from breast cancer. BUT THERE IS HOPE. Early detection can save your life. 95% of women who are diagnosed early – survive more than 5 years, or better yet – a LIFETIME.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and finding the cure starts with awareness. GET INFORMED.  Make a difference and spread the word about the importance of mammograms and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved.   Early detection can save your life. PASS IT ON!
